What is an Article IV Mission?
Article IV Missions are a cornerstone of the IMF’s role in promoting global economic stability and collaboration. Each year, IMF experts visit member countries to assess economic and financial developments, exchange views with government officials and stakeholders, and provide recommendations to ensure sustainable economic growth.

In addition, IMF First Deputy Managing Director Gita Gopinath visited Liechtenstein and met with H.S.H. Hereditary Prince Alois, Liechtenstein’s acting Head of State as well as Prime Minister Daniel Risch.

For Liechtenstein, this first mission is not just a procedural milestone; it’s a chance to bring measure its policies against international standards, ensure economic resilience, and demonstrate its commitment to a cooperative global economic framework.
Liechtenstein is proud to embark on this journey and looks forward to the continued engagement with the IMF.
